In addition to the service by UE, seasonal service is provided by a number of large airline companies including Continental, Delta, and American Airlines. In the Summer time, service is provided by Continental Airlines to Houston. During the cooler Winter months, service expands to Houston and Newark operated by Continental Airlines, service to Dallas and Chicago with American Airlines, and Delta Airlines to Atlanta and Salt Lake City.

Each of the independent airlines occupy ticket counters, baggage facilities and offices at the airport for full services to the flying public. In additional to staffed counters, Continental Airlines offers automated ticketing machines.

Only a short away and at 2,700 feet deep and 53 miles long, the Black Canyon holds plenty of excitement for explorers of all ages. Summer in the Canyon offers fishing, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, nature walks, campfire programs and other adventures. Winter brings a whole new set of activities including cross-county skiing, snowshoeing and backcountry camping.

The Black Canyon was originally designated a national monument in 1933. However, in 1999, it was renamed a national park, placing it in the same league as other renowned treasures like Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite.
